try this:
Find the GCF between these 3 monomials
3x y^3, 9x^2 y^2, 18x^3 y
http://www.harcourtschool.com/activity/mult/mult.html (this may help with factors of a composite number)

HAVE A GREAT 3 DAY WEEKEND!
I believe all of you are finished with your exams and will enjoy tomorrow off. I hope that you take time to study for your re-scheduled ENERGY EXAM which is on monday, Jan. 30th. Also Mrs. Price will most likely have her India test next week too. (study your notes and these terms and look at the links)
Energy
1. Temperature is the average KE of the molecules in a substance.
2. Black (dark) absorbs, white (light) reflects, rough absorbs, smooth reflects.
3. Conduction: energy transfer through molecular collisions; solids in contact.
4. Convection: energy transfer through differences in density. Circulating currents of gasses and liquids. (Occurs in the atmosphere and asthenosphere).
5. Radiation: energy transfer through space. How light energy travels here from the sun and the stars.
6. Energy moves from the source (highest temp.) to the sink (lowest temp.).
7. Kinetic Energy (KE): energy of motion. As velocity increases, KE also increases.
8. Potential Energy (PE): energy of position. As the position of an object increases away from the center of the earth, PE increases.
9. There is NO temperature change during a phase change.

Monday 1/23 SNOW DAY
Well today, as you may notice we had low pressure system dump some of the white stuff on us. We were all counting on being in school today to take two tests and get our much needed mid term room assignments for ES, Eng., and global. Well, the only thing I can do is IF our school emails this info to me (and other teachers) I will post it here on the support page. Other than that I will see all of you in school tomorrow at 7:40 am in room 135 for your algebra midterm. I am confident that while you are taking the exam that the room assignments will be sent to us.
Remember to have new batteries and 2 pencils. You may bring a water and some small snack; power bar, apple....
Lastly, enjoy the snow.
Mr. Lambert

Welcome
I have taken the technology plunge and decided to use the internet, more specifically a web log, or BLOG as it is referred, to post assignments and allow teacher/student and student/ student communications to occur on the web. The Purpose is strictly educational and will be relevant to the four academic subjects you have. They include; English, Algebra, Earth Science and Global Studies. I personally believe this is an excellent way for communications to occur after school hours if need be. Please post questions to myself and each other. It may also be helpful for your parents.
